Can India remain the offshore bigshot?

This article questions the sustainability of India as the premier offshoring destination in the wake of the recently discovered competition from "offshoring hotspots" in Eastern Europe, South Africa and China. The quality of the workforce is at par and the infrastructure is usually superieur to that found in India. The costs in these countries are still a minor deterrent to the companies but it remains to be seen how long India can maintain its position based solely on cost advantage.
